  • Multiple defendants or a joinder of causes of action may affect the venue.
  • A forum-selection clause may be void in a standard-form/consumer contract, and does not apply in small claims.
  • Regulation 29: a plea of lack of jurisdiction must be raised at the first opportunity, otherwise the court may impose costs.
  • The relevant agreement (including a forum-selection clause, if any).
  • Supporting evidence of the defendant's address and of the place of the act or the undertaking.
  • Ownership/registration documents — in real-estate claims.
